How We Work
Recovery Can Feel Overwhelming
You may be carrying the weight of addiction, anxiety, shame, family pressure, or the fear of what happens if things continue as they are.
You don’t have to figure this out alone.
We can simplify the steps, and help you work out what would best suit you. We’ll pull together a clear plan for what comes next, and connect and guide you through the journey.
Step1 Is Understanding You
No two recovery journeys are the same.
We begin by understanding your story, your goals, your challenges, your strengths, and the level of support that’s right for you.
This is not a one-size-fits-all approach. Together, we determine what support will give you the greatest chance of meaningful, lasting change.
Step 2 Is Creating a Personalised Recovery Plan
Some people need recovery coaching.
Some benefit from working with a psychologist, psychiatrist, or specialist therapist.
Some need detox or rehab.
Many need a combination of support at different stages of their recovery.
Based on your individual circumstances, we help you identify the right next steps and connect you with the services, professionals, and resources that best meet your needs.
Step 3 Is Expert Guidance Through the Process
Recovery rarely follows a straight line.
Rather than leaving you to navigate complex decisions alone, we help guide you through the process.
This may include recovery coaching, family support, rehab and detox guidance, specialist referrals, aftercare planning, accountability, and ongoing support.
Our role is not simply to point you in the right direction.
Our role is to help you navigate the journey.
You Don’t Have To Figure This Out Alone
Most recovery services focus on one part of the journey.
We help people navigate the whole journey.
From the first conversation through treatment decisions, recovery coaching, family support, specialist referrals, aftercare, and long-term recovery, our goal is to ensure you have the right support at the right time.
Depending on your needs, this may involve helping you choose the right detox or rehab program, coordinating with treatment providers, supporting family members and loved ones, creating personalised aftercare plans, connecting you with trusted specialists, and providing continuity of care throughout the recovery process.
We believe recovery works best when people feel supported, informed, and connected every step of the way.
Because recovery isn’t just about stopping a behaviour.
It’s about creating a life you no longer need to escape from.
Access to the Right Support at the Right Time
At Your Recovery Journey, we believe lasting recovery requires more than simply stopping a behaviour.
Our work is informed by the latest understanding of addiction, behavioural change, neuroscience, trauma, attachment, and nervous system regulation.
We recognise that addictive behaviours often serve a purpose. They can become strategies for coping with stress, emotional pain, overwhelm, disconnection, shame, or unresolved trauma.
That’s why our approach extends beyond abstinence alone.
We combine trauma-trained recovery support, behavioural change principles, nervous system regulation, somatic approaches, evidence-based psychological frameworks, and practical recovery coaching to help clients create meaningful and sustainable change.
Most importantly, we recognise that no single methodology works for everyone.
Rather than forcing people into a predetermined model, we help them access the right support, at the right time, in a way that reflects their individual needs, goals, and circumstances.
Where Compassion Meets Science in Recovery
One of the hardest parts of recovery is not knowing what to do next. Do you need detox? Rehab? A recovery coach? A therapist? Inpatient or Outpatient? Aftercare?
Who can you trust? Which path is right for you? What happens after the first step?
These decisions can feel overwhelming when you’re already carrying so much.
When you work with Your Recovery Journey, you’ll have experienced professionals helping you understand your options, make informed decisions, and move forward with confidence.
Recovery is challenging enough without having to figure it all out on your own.
Support Beyond A Single Service
Recovery is not one-size-fits-all.
Different people benefit from different approaches at different stages of their journey.
Through our network of trusted professionals and partners, we can help connect clients with a wide range of evidence-based and complementary supports, including specialist therapy, trauma treatment, EMDR, nervous system regulation, somatic approaches, mindfulness, breathwork, family support, recovery coaching, detox and rehab services, and other therapeutic interventions when appropriate.
For clients requiring a higher level of support, we can also assist with more comprehensive recovery solutions, including bespoke treatment programs and premium recovery experiences.
Our focus is never on promoting a particular methodology.
Our focus is helping you find the right support, at the right time, from the right people.
Our Approach
Everything we do is grounded in both compassion and evidence.
We draw on the latest understanding of addiction, behavioural change, trauma, neuroscience, nervous system regulation, and recovery coaching.
While recognising that genuine human connection remains one of the most important factors in successful recovery.
Many of the people who work with Kylie come through private referrals, often from former clients, psychologists and other trusted professionals.
As trust develops, it’s not uncommon for the work to extend beyond the individual. A partner may initially join sessions to better understand addiction, behavioural change or the recovery process. Over time, they may choose to begin their own journey, exploring the patterns, experiences and beliefs that have shaped their lives. In some cases, Kylie works with each person individually, as a couple, and together as a family system.
Recovery doesn’t happen in isolation. When one person heals, it changes a relationship. When a couple heals together, it can change a family.

Most of my clients are professionals, executives, business owners, or public-facing people. Protecting their confidentiality is fundamental to how I work, so identifying details have been removed from every testimonial.
‘Working with Kylie has genuinely changed the direction of my life. She has an incredible ability to understand what’s really going on beneath the surface, and she combines intuition, wisdom and kindness in a way I’ve never experienced before.
She helped me through some of the hardest periods of my life—not just overcoming alcohol and other unhealthy behaviours, but navigating everything that came afterwards. Even years later, she’s still someone I turn to when life gets challenging because I know I’ll be met with honesty, compassion and practical guidance.
Kylie is one of the most wonderful, conscious people I’ve ever had the pleasure of knowing, and she played a hugely impactful role in changing my life. I’ll always be incredibly grateful for her support.’
— Former client, Senior Finance Executive
‘I’d worked with a number of psychologists & therapists and coaches over the years, but there was something different about working with Kylie. From the very beginning, I felt understood, challenged and genuinely supported.
She helped me understand patterns I’d been carrying since childhood and, more importantly, gave me the tools and accountability to start changing them. Over time, those changes have filtered into every part of my life—my relationships, my family, my health, my work and, most importantly, the relationship I have with myself.
One of the things I’ve appreciated most is knowing she’s there when I genuinely need her. Whether it’s a scheduled session or one of those moments when life feels overwhelming, she’s always made me feel supported without ever making me dependent.
Years later, I still choose to work with Kylie. Of everyone I’ve worked with, she’s the person I’ve trusted the most over the long term, and I’m incredibly grateful to have her in my corner.
— Current Client | Business Owner
Over the past 12 years I’ve worked with psychologists, therapists, healers and coaches, but Kylie’s approach is unlike anything I’d experienced before.
She has a unique ability to help you trust your own wisdom while also giving you practical tools and honest feedback that help you get to the heart of who you are and what you truly need to feel fulfilled and aligned.
Even before our first session, I was learning more about myself through the questionnaires and exercises she shared. I still come back to them whenever I want to check that I’m living in line with my values, strengths and goals.
One of the biggest shifts for me was realising I didn’t have to choose between growing my business and growing as a person. Kylie helped me do both. I’m incredibly grateful our paths crossed, and I feel very fortunate to have her beside me on this journey.’
— Former Client | Business Owner
“I’d overcome one addiction years before I met Kylie, but I eventually realised I hadn’t addressed the reasons it had developed in the first place. As life went on, other unhealthy patterns began to take its place.
Working with Kylie helped me understand that I wasn’t simply trying to change behaviours—I was healing the wounds beneath them. For the first time, I wasn’t just managing symptoms; I was creating lasting change.
The work we did together, alongside other trusted professionals when needed, transformed not only my own life but also my relationships and my family. I genuinely feel like I’ve broken patterns that had been passed down through generations.
Life still has its challenges, but I know I don’t have to face them alone. Whenever I need perspective or support, I come back for a few sessions, and every time I leave with greater clarity, self-awareness and confidence in the path ahead.”
— Former Client | Entertainment Professional & Public Figure
*Several clients initially worked with Kylie professionally before later choosing to trust me with their own recovery journey.
I’d already worked alongside Kylie professionally for years before I ever became her coaching client, so I knew first-hand the integrity, intelligence and care she brought to everything she did.
When I finally admitted that my relationship with alcohol wasn’t where I wanted it to be, there was no one else I wanted to work with. Like so many high-performing people, I kept believing I should be able to fix it on my own. I was disciplined in every other area of my life, yet I couldn’t seem to change this one pattern.
Working with Kylie gave me the understanding, support and accountability I needed to finally break that cycle. I’m now living alcohol-free, and the difference reaches every part of my life. Even now, when life gets challenging, I still come back for the occasional session because I know I’ll leave with more clarity, self-awareness and direction than when I arrived.
